Synopsis of Gladiator II:
Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) grapples with a split personality, with his alter ego being the infamous Joker, a comedian known for his deadly humor. In the previous installment, he committed six murders as the Joker. Now facing trial, his attorney Maryanne Stewart (Catherine Keener) aims to leverage his mental condition in his defense, arguing that Fleck should not be held accountable for the Joker’s actions. However, Fleck dismisses her counsel and opts to present his own defense, much to the delight of the attention-seeking defense attorney, Harvey Dent (Harry Lawtey). During this tumultuous time, Fleck encounters the troubled singer Harleen “Lee” Quinzel (Lady Gaga) in prison. She embodies Harley Quinn and is captivated by the Joker, perceiving him as her counterpart. Through her influence, Fleck begins to explore his own musical talents. While he previously viewed himself as a struggling comic, he now envisions himself as a charismatic performer akin to Fred Astaire, captivating audiences with his singing and dancing.
